Marika Simeone

Hi! My name is Marika, I’m originally from a small town close to the west coast of Italy but now I live in Brixworth with my partner. Since the age of 12 I’ve had a passion for therapy massages, having been inspired by a family friend. I then went on to study it for 3 yrs in Italy, qualifying as a 3rd level Beauty Therapist specialising in Therapy massages.

At Brixworth Osteopathic Clinic a offer a massage called Lymphatic Drainage, a therapeutic treatment.

It uses deep pressures alternating with light ones, long and rhythmic strokes to increase the flow of the lymphatic system. This will helping to remove toxins in the body, by transporting oxygen into the cells, collecting toxins on the way and flushing them out through the lymph glands.

Benefiting your general heath and boosting the bodies’ immune system, reducing colds and flu. It can also help to empty fat cells to aid weight loss and tighten muscles. It’s a popular massage in the USA and in some other parts of the world. Everyone, of all ages will benefit and should obtain a boost in general well-being.

Post surgery, Lymph Drainage will reduce swelling and detoxify the body to speed up regeneration of cells. The reduction in toxins can also help with the inflammation that causes arthritis. Relaxation, reduction in stress and a reduction of tightness in the muscles is also a benefit.

The only time you can not receive a massage is if you are already suffering from acute infection because it will push the toxins into the lymph channels before the body has the chance to eliminate them.
