At the end of 2013 the practice moved to new premises in Catherine House on the north-end of the village to accommodate a growing patients list and to offer an increased number of Osteopathic appointments together with a selections of allied healthcare therapies in a spacious, clean and welcoming environment. Since the move the practice has has grown both in size and reputation and now offers patients access to Osteopaths and other therapists 6 days a week, usually within the first 24 hours following an enquiry!
Osteopath and Clinic Principal, Gordon Dingwall, is proud of the reputation that the clinic has built in the local area, stating “we have seen well over 3500 patients over the years with most of our new patients now coming to us through word of mouth referrals directly, or from our excellent links with local GP’s and other health specialists”.
Gordon is very clear about the about the benefits that Osteopathy can bring to people of all ages and of all walks of life, but he is keen to change the public misconception that all Osteopaths treat is a bad back.
Osteopaths are highly qualified primary care health professionals who treat people of all ages and background. We have trained for 4-5 years before we can practice and are required by law to be registered and thereby regulated by the General Osteopathic Council. This ensures we remain safe and effective whilst in practice. There is a broad selection of therapies on offer to patients these days, but not many can boast the level of intensive training and regulation of an Osteopath.
Should you have a health complaint that you are concerned about then Gordon will be only too happy to discuss this with you confidentially and advise on the best course for you to seek help and treatment, osteopathically or otherwise if a referral to see another medical practitioner is needed.
Sometimes a big part of what is needed is just having the time to listen, understand and treat the patient as an individual rather than just a range the symptoms and complaints.
Should you be unable to travel to the clinic due to pain or other circumstances, we do offer a ‘home visit’. Following a free telephone consultation one of our osteopaths will consider travelling to your house to see you. However, please note that the charge for this service would be considerably more than the costs of appointments held in the clinic. Should you wish to arrange a home visit, please call us to discuss.
Catherine House, a newly built premises at the end of the old Harborough Road has dedicated and convenient parking directly outside in allocated or visitors car parking spaces. The clinic provides full disabled access health care to ensure we welcome all our patents into a welcoming professional healthcare environment.
The clinic is open six day a week with ever popular evening slots available on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday evenings.
You can be assured that we will endeavour to provide you with professional yet personalised care, by investing time to understanding you, your symptoms and your chosen lifestyle. Our treatment will be tailored into a realistic management plan with the ultimate aim of returning you to health as soon as possible.
